Recognition of the Malgache Game Bantam (Homozygous & Heterozygous)
During the International Gamefowl Show in Linter (Belgium), organized by De Vechthoenderclub Belgium, AOBA conducted an official evaluation of the Malgache Game Bantam, a breed developed by Belgian breeder Marc Beutels.
Following a thorough assessment by AOBA staff, both the homozygous and heterozygous variants of this new breed were officially recognized within two AOBA programs:
- AOBA Foundation Stock Service (FSS)
Marc Beutels received the official FSS Certificate, confirming that his submitted animals form a reliable foundation line for further development, stabilization, and the future of the breed within the AOBA program.
- AOBA Breed Recognition (BR)
The Malgache Game Bantam was also formally confirmed as a new breed within the Breed Recognition Program (BR), after being evaluated for type, uniformity, stability, and heritability across multiple generations.
This dual recognition marks a significant milestone for both AOBA and the breeder, highlighting the value of this unique bantam breed within the international gamefowl community.
AOBA Token of Appreciation
To commemorate this successful evaluation, breeder
Marc Beutels also received an official
AOBA Token of Appreciation, in recognition of his dedication, passion, and continuous efforts in developing and promoting African ornamental poultry breeds and their international partnerships.
